Worship Round Up

Friday 10th July 2026

Our weekly round-up aims to support our parents in the conversations that they are having at home with their children. Each week, we will share the themes of each of our worships and any resources that we have been using, such as: videos, books and music, to allow our parents to access these if they wish to. Our weekly worship is structured in the following way:

Mondays: Values worship led by Mrs Evans where each week we focus on a different school value (Commitment; Courage; Love) as a theme linking these to bible stories, quotes and our positive learning behaviours.
Tuesdays: These worships are led by Reverend Jen Houghton and will focus on the theme of ‘What God is like and what God’s kingdom is like’.
Wednesdays: These worships are led by Mrs Griffin and respond to world events and days of significance in order that we are recognising God’s presence and power in our world today.
Thursdays: Singing Assembly led by Mrs Walker.
Fridays: Celebration Worship led by class teachers. Children are rewarded for upholding our school values during the week, class and team winners are announced and a thought or reflection for the week is shared.

Monday's Worship

E-waste Race | Race against waste

In Monday's worship, we receievd our award for winning the e-waste race! We were competing against other schools in Kingston to see which school collected the most electronic waste. Overall they collected just under 4000kg of e-waste from across the borogyh and over 700kg came fron our school alone! Well done to the Year 5s who led on this initiative! As a whole school treat, we were gifted our animal handling experience which took place on Tuesday. It was a brilliant initiative and we are hoping to be part of it again next year!

a Tuesday's Worship

In Tuesday’s worship Rev. Jen shared a parable about a shepherd who lost one of his one hundred sheep and would not rest until he found it. We thought about how Jesus is like a shepherd and we are his sheep and how that means that no one gets left behind or left out. We thought about how God cares for us all even if we get a little bit lost.

Wednesday's Worship

This week, we sang worship songs from our Out of the Ark Assembly collection. Many of the songs had a message of thankfulness. Through hearing a new song 'Count Your Blessings', we discussed how we could cheer ourselves up when life is difficult by noticing things we are thankful for. We sang to ask God to bless the teachers, helpers and children in our school. With the song 'Today', we sang about being grateful for every day we are given, and asked God to help us make the most of it.
