Year 5 Visit Hampton Court

Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Hampton Court Palace. We enjoyed exploring the Palace and seeing all of the history on offer in front of us. As well as braving the stormy conditions, we took part in a 'Jobs at Court' workshop. The children were able to imagine what it would have been like to have lived as a child in Tudor times. The session focused on some of the lesser-known jobs occupied by children and explored some of the interesting stories of the adult courtiers who might have been their role models. We found out about a number of real-life jobs that children did at the Tudor court all the way from disgusting to dangerous.
