Year 5 Science Visit to Southborough

Year 5 spent the morning at Southborough, ‘mixing potions’ and creating solutions. We really enjoyed using the different ingredients, such as the ‘spider eggs’ (iron filings) and ‘vampire blood’ (Silver Nitrate), using droppers to combine them and see what happens. Watching each one fizz, dissolve or change colour was fascinating, though we didn’t like the one that smelled like rotten eggs!
