Year 5 Hampton Court Trip

Year 5 enjoyed a fantastic trip to Hampton Court Palace. Firstly, we explored the grounds of Hampton Court Palace including looking for a pumpkin the Palace maze. After this, we went for a tour of Henry's apartments. It was exciting to sit in the banquet room, to see all of the art and to see some of the outfits that the Tudors would have worn. After lunch, we enjoyed having a bit of time to explore the 'Magic Garden'. Finally, we ended the day by exploring primary and secondary sources to find out for ourselves what we thought of King Henry VIII. Joey commented that she learnt about different clothes that the Tudors would wear on different days. Year 5 are very grateful to our adult helpers.
