Year 5 Frameless Exhibition Trip

On Tuesday 10th February Year 5 visited the 'Frameless' Art exhibition in Marble Arch. The immersive experience saw us step into the paintings and watch them come to life. We enjoyed matching the paintings that we were seeing to the images on our handouts and we explored how the artists drew the eye to the focal point. We also looked out for examples of foreground, middleground and background linked to our art topic and for examples of gestural lines to show movement. We loved the chance to move some of the brush strokes into the moving pictures with the motion of our own movements and enjoyed being drawn  into different land and city scapes around the world in the final gallery. We had a brilliant day and were excited to get back to school to complete our lino printing!
