Year 5 Dragon Boating

Year 5 had the fantastic opportunity of going Dragon Boat racing today. After arriving at school, we took the bus to Albany Park along the River Thames. Following this, we were given buoyancy aids and were put into two teams. Each team was given one instructor who taught us the technique of how to use our oars. One team was called Noble and the other was called Laura. After getting some practice on the river we took part in 3 different races. Noble won the first race and Laura equalled it up in the second race which left a decider. In the final race, I am pleased to report that the winning team was Noble.
