Year 5 Barnes Literature Festival Visit

On Monday, Year 5 visited the Rose Theatre to take part in the Barnes Literature Festival. The guest author, Jeffrey Boakye, introduced the children to his Kofi series and took them on a journey through the 1990s, exploring the influence of rap and storytelling. The children were encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and consider what stories they might tell. A key message from the session was that everyone has their own story worth sharing. The children were highly engaged throughout and left feeling inspired by the power of words and imagination.
