Year 3 Visit the Hindu Temple

On Wednesday Year 3 went to visit the Shree Ghanapathy Temple in Wimbledon. As soon as we arrived, we began to observe some of the Hindu rituals by removing our shoes at the entrance. We were instantly able to smell the incense that was burning around the spectacularly colourful shrines. In the mandir we could hear the puja taking place. We were able to sit quietly and observe the ceremony before walking slowly around to look at each shrine more closely. Afterwards, we had the opportunity to learn and experience the Hindu traditional dress.
