Year 3 Natural History Museum Visit
Year 3 enjoyed our trip to the Natural History Museum on 5th February. We went to an earthquakes and volcanoes show where we were able to recap some of our learning in class, including the layers of the earth, tectonic plates and the cause of earthquakes and volcanoes. We learnt that a seismometer can be used to detect, measure, and record ground vibrations so that scientists can detect earthquakes and magma movements before volcanoes erupt. We then looked around the volcanoes and earthquakes section of the museum and experienced what a real earthquake might feel like.
