Year 2 Wetlands Visit

We had a lovely day at the Wetlands centre! The weather was beautiful and the children were so happy to be outside in the sunshine, spotting all of the beautiful birds and listening to the birdsong. 

They were so excited so see the otters being fed and learning about their natural habitat. 

We had a go at making our very own dens to use as hideouts to spot all of the amazing wildlife in the centre. The children listened to our guide carefully and made some fantastic dens out of wood and string. They showed some incredible team work and all of the dens were a success. After lunch we climbed the wooden staircase, to look out over the wetlands and admired the beautiful view, before heading back on the train. The children were in great spirits and behaved impeccably.
