Year 2 Visit The National Gallery

Year 2 had a lovely time at the National Gallery. We saw Henri Rousseau’s very famous painting, ‘Surprised!’ We noticed lightning and rain in the jungle setting of the painting. There were a lot of green colours. We also saw two other paintings. In one of the paintings, we spotted an angel at the top, a horse and a dragon. We guessed the story behind the painting. We looked at a painting of a brown horse, it looked realistic and was life size but it didn’t have a background. We had a lot of fun and really enjoyed our train trip there and back too. ​
