Year 1 visit to Chessington

Year 1 had a fantastic day at Chessington Zoo and SEA LIFE Centre, extending our learning about animals and their habitats.

We began with a 'Clawsome Classification' workshop, where we used clues to identify an animal. By thinking like scientists, we worked out that the mystery animal was a fox!

We then had a surprise opportunity to feed the giraffes. Although they were feeling a little shy, we still got to see these beautiful animals up close and learn some fascinating facts about them.

Next, we explored the SEA LIFE Centre, where we saw a variety of fish, sharks, and amphibians. The children were amazed by all the different creatures and enjoyed learning about their habitats.

To finish our adventure, we watched the playful sea lions swimming and splashing in their enclosure. It was a wonderful day filled with excitement, discovery, and lots of memorable learning experiences!
