Year 1 Plants and Science Workshop

On Tuesday we were lucky to enjoy a Science workshop from Freshwater. We had a visitor from a professor who taught us all about plants. We learnt about the different parts of plants and what their job is. Then we pretended to be different plants, comparing how trees, weeds and flowers are all different. We were shown some seeds and bulbs from different plants and were able to see how these are different. Then we acted out the life cycle of a sunflower, pretending to grow and grow until we were as tall as we could be.
