Science Week - Year 6
In Year 6, we have been exploring the idea of how proteins help us to grow. We have learnt that proteins are actually the building blocks of all the different growth we have. We created micro machines using the building blocks and experimented with how many different combinations we could come up with! As part of our focus on growth, we also explored Marie Maynard Daly who was a significant cardiologist who discovered how cholesterol affected our bodies. We discussed how she has saved many lives through her research and how she overcame racial prejudice at the time! We were so impressed by her strength and courage in the field of science!
