Remembrance Day 2021
Year 6 visited the church today to join the Remembrance Day Service outside the church. They have been learning about World War 2 and as part of their unit of learing they have been finding out about local residents who lost their lives dring the war. For each of these local people, the chidlren created a cross which they then took over to the churchyard with them. They were a real credit to the school as they spoke to local residents after the service and whilst they were at the church we held a 2 minute silence at the school as a makr of respect too. The clay poppies that were created by our Key Stage 2 pupils were also on display at the churchyard and will be seen at the service on Sunday too. It is wonderful to once again be able to join with the church on these significant occasions and we are already looking forward to the KS2 Choir performing at the St Paul's Church Carol Service on Sunday 12th December.
