Maths Week 2025

On Tuesday, every class took part in a maths workshop led by Simon from Brainwave Education. The sessions were packed with hands-on activities that helped us explore shapes, patterns, and problem-solving in a fun and engaging way. We used sticks and balls to build 2D and 3D shapes, including cubes and tetrahedrons, and worked in teams to spot patterns and solve shape clues. One child said, “We got to use the sticks and balls to make a 3D cube,” while another shared, “We used sticks and balls to create tetrahedrons. We noticed patterns in these shapes.”

Some of us even learned how to find the area of a triangle and understood what perimeter means. The younger children especially loved building rocket ships and playing with the giant moon—“I enjoyed being in the rocket that we made,” said one excited pupil. It was a fantastic day full of mathematical thinking, creativity, and teamwork!
