Head Teacher's Welcome

Welcome to St. Paul’s Church of England Primary School website.

St Paul’s is a one form entry voluntary aided Church of England Primary School, maintained by the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames and the Diocese of Southwark.  St. Paul’s has been serving the local community since 1859 and is a unique school in the heart of a unique community.  In 2017 OFSTED graded our school as ‘Good’ and we are continuing to build on the excellent progress which the school has made in the past few years. Pupil progress, enjoyment and engagement are closely monitored and pupil voice is highly valued.

Our Core Purpose:

We aim to provide a safe and nurturing environment, based on Christian values, where all feel confident to learn, face challenges and take risks. We ensure that all are motivated, engaged and supported in becoming the best possible version of themselves.

Our School Values:

We all aim to be:

At St. Paul’s we are committed to:

* Putting Christian values at the heart of everything we do.

* Cherishing the individuality of all

* Ensuring every child makes the best possible progress by being ambitious and having high expectations of themselves.

* Providing excellent teaching every day; building on prior knowledge to deepen learning.

* Providing a broad, rich and inspiring curriculum through creative and collaborative experiences.

* Developing a curiosity and interest in the world around them.

* Extending experience through extra-curricular activities.

* Creating a community of life-long learners.

* Working in partnership with parents and carers to actively encourage and support each child.

* Valuing our staff and supporting their future developments.

* Planning purposeful tasks which provide children with a complete toolkit to equip them for the future.

* Our children becoming active citizens throughout their lives and in the world.

* Developing a positive mind-set in supporting learners to achieve their dreams.

Learning really is fun at St. Paul’s.  We strive not only to embed the basic skills, but also to develop the whole child with a wide range of sporting and non-sporting clubs. Children at St. Paul’s enjoy a rich curriculum and benefit from being taught by our excellent specialist music and PE teachers. Learning is also enhanced through theme days, exciting trips and visiting speakers.

We believe that a close partnership between home and school is key to a child’s success and this website is just one link in the relationship.  Parents, carers, relatives and visitors are welcomed into school and we value their views, ideas and expertise. We have an active School Council, Parent Representative Group and PSA (Parent Staff Association), all of which are involved in the decision making processes. Our staff and governors are committed to continuous improvement and providing a high quality education for every child.

We look forward to welcoming you to our school.

School Prayer

Loving God
We thank you for the gift of life and for all that you give us each day.
Thank you for all the wonderful things we learn at school and for the fun we share together.
When we get things wrong help us to know that you always love us and that with your help we can change.
Be with us in all that we do today and be with our family, friends and everyone at St Paul’s School.
Help us to know what it means to follow you as we grow into the people you have made us to be.
In Jesus’ name we pray,
